Shooting Tethered and Why You Should Consider It for your Next Photo Shoot

Tethered photography is the process of connecting your camera to a computer, laptop, or other screen via a cable (or wireless app). It allows you to preview your photos full screen (and back them up to your harddrive) on the fly.

Viewing images on a large screen (compared to the little LCD screen on the back of the camera) allows you and your photographer to better spot issues with focus, lighting, and composition. Plus, it will also give you the confidence that you’ve captured the shot you had envisioned.

While tethering is not applicable to every type of photography, it’s super helpful for studio-type photographic work, like headshots and product photography.

Tethering is an optional add-on service for our clients – just ask if it makes sense for your photo needs. And contact Kelly Heck Photography for your next photo shoot!
