Every once in a while, someone turns the camera around on me.
And if I’m being honest… it’s not my natural place. I’m much more comfortable being the one behind the scenes, guiding, observing, adjusting, making other people feel like their best selves.
But I said yes to this one.
I was recently featured by VoyageBaltimore, and the conversation ended up being a really honest look at my work, how I approach photography, and what’s changed for me over the years — both professionally and personally — since my first interview with VoyageBaltimore in 2021.
We talked about:
- what actually makes a photo work (hint: it’s not just lighting or gear)
- why I care so much about the experience, not just the final image
- how my approach has shifted from doing everything… to doing the right things
- and the real, human side of running a business while raising young kids
It’s not overly polished or “perfect.” It’s just… me.
If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work together, or how I think about what I do, this is probably the most complete picture I’ve shared in one place.
