Meet Joe White, CEO of Everseen | Executive Portraits in Glenwood, Maryland

Every now and then, a photography request comes in that feels like a whirlwind in the best possible way.

Joe White’s PR team reached out with a tight turnaround: Joe was preparing to be announced as the new CEO of Everseen, and they needed an updated collection of executive portraits to accompany the news.

For once, the calendar, timing, fall foliage, and creative universe all lined up perfectly.

Executive Portraits for a CEO Announcement

I photographed Joe at his home in Glenwood, Maryland, with the goal of creating a versatile collection of images his team could use for public relations, media coverage, executive communications, and future marketing.

We started with the classic: a clean portrait on white seamless.

There’s a reason this style remains a favorite for executive headshots. It’s polished, timeless, easy for publications to use, and works almost anywhere.

But once we had it?

We played.

Joe’s home gave us a beautiful setting for a series of more editorial-style portraits. We moved throughout the space, changing backgrounds, compositions, and expressions to create photographs that still felt appropriately executive but had more personality and sense of place.

We finished outside, where Maryland happened to be giving us peak fall color for one final portrait.

Joe was kind and welcoming throughout the entire shoot, and I also had the pleasure of meeting his wife, Misty, their daughter, and their incredibly sweet family pup—who may have given me the most enthusiastic welcome of everyone.

So, Who Is Joe White?

The photographs were created to accompany a pretty significant professional announcement.

Joe was named Chief Executive Officer of Everseen, a Vision AI company developing technology for the retail industry. He stepped into the role with more than 30 years of experience scaling enterprise technology businesses across retail, logistics, and industrial sectors.

You can read more about Joe and his new role in Everseen’s official CEO announcement.

There was something particularly fun about seeing one of the portraits we’d just created immediately begin doing exactly what it was designed to do: representing Joe as he stepped into this new chapter of his career.

That’s a pretty cool day at the office.

One Headshot Is Great. Options Are Better.

I’m always fascinated to see which photograph ultimately becomes the one.

In Joe’s case, that clean white-background executive portrait was an obvious choice for PR. There’s a reason publications and marketing teams love a classic headshot.

But I also love that we didn’t stop there.

When someone is stepping into a highly visible leadership role, photographs can end up in places nobody anticipated on the day of the shoot. Press releases, interviews, speaking engagements, company announcements, LinkedIn, websites, publications, conference materials—the list keeps growing.

Creating a variety of executive portraits gives Joe and his team choices for all of those future needs.

And personally?

Those slightly more relaxed editorial portraits are often where I think the magic happens.

Thanks to Joe and his family for welcoming me into their home, and to his PR team for finding a Maryland photographer on a tight deadline and trusting me with an important announcement.

Sometimes the rush jobs really do line up just right.
