Have you ever been to an Old-Fashioned Corn Roast Festival?
Better yet, have you tasted steam roasted corn? Yeah, it’s amazing.
This is my second time photographing the Old-Fashioned Corn Roast Festival at Union Mills Homestead, on behalf of Carroll County Tourism. What I love about assignments like this is that I am not documenting an event, I am capturing photos that highlight the spirit and fun of the event for use in marketing. So though it might be awkward, I asked most of these people (the up close shots) to stop and pose for me. Carroll County peeps are awesome!
One of the lovely volunteers offered me an ear of corn fresh off the roaster – GOD it was the most delicious ear of corn I have ever tasted. This is a beautiful venue and a really unique event – I highly recommend you check it out!
