Honoring Neighbors Foundation hosted their inaugural fundraising event in Bethesda, Maryland, to benefit a fellow non-profit in Ames, Iowa – YSS. And I was the lucky photographer to document their extraordinary night.
Honoring Neighbors Foundation, a newly established 501c3 Non-Profit, aims to to make a lasting impact in communities near and far. The event, a private concert, was held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, and 100% of the proceeds were raised to support YSS, a non-profit that provides youth with mental health services.
With the generosity of over 50 guests and additional donors, Honoring Neighbors Foundation exceeded their fundraising goal. The fund will be enough to fund the annual support services for at least six children in need.
Featured at the private event were two outstanding performances by Lena Traynham
(http://www.lenatraynham.com/) and David Wilcox (http://www.davidwilcox.com/), held at the
newly opened Outta the Rabbit Hole venue in Derwood, Maryland. And this venue guys – it was awesome! It was small and quaint, but so welcoming. It is the perfect size venue for up to 100 guests. The space is adorned with gorgeous hand-painted murals by local MoCo and Derwood artist Melissa Tenholder to add a sense of whimsy to your specials events!
