It has been a fun surprise this year to work on not just one, but two membership composite projects for local organizations – and both have been such rewarding experiences.
Most recently, I completed this fresh-off-the-press composite for the Carroll County Bar Association. They brought me on for four half-days of headshot sittings with bar members, followed by retouching and the careful design of the final composite. From individual portraits to the finished layout, this project was a true full-circle process, and I loved being part of it.
The final 30″ x 45″ print is now on its way to Gizmo’s Art, where Lyndi and her team will work their framing magic before it heads to its permanent home in one of Carroll County’s courthouses.

As someone who spends a fair amount of time in Carroll County and has built many connections here over the years, these four shoot days were especially enjoyable. It was a pleasure meeting new faces, while also reconnecting with familiar ones – including Judge Titus, Judge Hecker, and several fantastic attorneys.
I also recently completed a composite for the New Windsor Fire Department. This project came to me a little differently, as the photos had already been provided and they were looking for someone to bring the final piece together. My role involved carefully organizing the layout for print, while also improving the provided headshots through light balancing, color correction, and cropping so everything felt more cohesive and polished. From there, I assembled all of the elements into a finished composite designed to feel both professional and visually strong.

Lyndi and her team at Gizmo’s Art framed this piece as well, and they truly do beautiful work. Their craftsmanship adds so much to the final presentation, and it is always a pleasure to send work their way.
